Beth and Jeff, owners at Bayshore Fit, have noted that a lot of people either love working out on their own, or partake in the group class model. But a lot of clubs only offer one, or the other.

“A lot of people come to work out only in a gym environment, because they know what they want to do, and how to do it. A lot of people really just want to work out solo,” Jeff says.

“On the other hand, being in a class environment can really encourage people to push themselves harder than they would on their own,” Beth says.

Some gyms only offer classes, which could add up depending on how many classes you want to take per month. Other gyms offer unlimited classes, but might have the ones you’re interested in, or at random times that don’t fit into your schedule.
